New York City Ballet's Here/Now Promotional Film. The Spring 2017 Here/Now Festival amasses 43 ballets from 22 choreographers to display NYCB’s unparalleled commitment to new work.
Known to generations of Juilliard students as "ChoreoComp", the much-loved Composers and Choreographers Workshop matches six choreographers with six composers and gives them nine weeks to conceive, create, rehearse, and perform a program of new works. Led by a trio of experienced faculty artists - Jerome Begin, Janis Brenner, and Daniel Ott - the course starts off with a powerful lesson on how music can impact the perception of a dance passage - and vice versa.
